— Should we bring cash?

Yes and no 🙂 Feel free to bring as many pesos/US dollars as you would like, but you can take out money at the airport as well, and at OXXO in La Ventana. We recommend using pesos locally, but you are okay to use USD in most establishments. The ATM at OXXO only allows for you to take out 3000pesos at a time, so we recommend getting pesos out at the airport or on your way to La Ventana.

— What's the best way to see the wind forecast?

As much as we would love to trust just one website to give us an accurate forecast, we generally use a couple. We are lucky to have a local retired meteorologist, MasViento, who updates us daily throughout the winter season, and we use ikitesurf.

Our best windy season is from November – March, but it’s windy all year round!
